1. Introduction Welcome to NetCheck (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By downloading or using our mobile application (“NetCheck” or “the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Use of Services NetCheck provides network diagnostic tools, including internet speed tests, port scanning, LAN discovery, and DNS analysis. You agree to use these tools responsibly and only on networks you own or have permission to analyze.
- Authorized Use: You must not use the App for any illegal activities, including but not limited to unauthorized port scanning, denial-of-service attacks, or accessing systems without consent.
- Liability: We are not responsible for any misuse of the App or any consequences resulting from your interpretation of the diagnostic data.
3. User Accounts To access certain features (e.g., history synchronization), you may create a user profile (“Profile”) by providing your name and email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your information.
4. Intellectual Property The App, including its code, design, logos, and features, is the intellectual property of Matri8. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, secure, or available at all times. Network diagnostic results (speed, ping, signal strength) are estimates and may vary based on environmental factors.
6. Limitation of Liability To the fullest extent permitted by law, Matri8 shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the App.
7. Changes to Terms We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect
- Device Information: We collect data about your device model, OS version, and network interface status to perform diagnostic tests.
- Location Data: We access your precise location only to support Wi-Fi scanning (identifying SSID/BSSID), as required by the Android operating system. This data is processed locally and is not sold to third parties.
- User Profile: If you create a profile, we store your Name and Email address to synchronize your test history across devices via our database (Supabase).
- Network Data: We analyze network traffic (speed, latency, port status) during tests. This data is logged in your local history and our database if synchronization is enabled.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide core functionality (Speed Test, Wi-Fi Analyzer, LAN Scanner).
- To display your historical test results.
- To improve the App’s performance and fix bugs.
3. Data Storage & Security Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. User profiles are managed via Supabase. We do not sell your personal data to advertisers.
4. Third-Party Services
- Measurement Servers: Speed tests may connect to third-party servers (e.g., Cloudflare, M-Lab) to measure throughput. These servers may log your IP address temporarily to facilitate the test.
- Ad Networks: If the App displays ads, third-party ad networks may use anonymous identifiers to serve relevant content.
5. Your Rights You may request the deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us or using the “Clear All Data” option in the App’s settings.
6. Children’s Privacy The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
